ESG frameworks have gained significant prominence due to growing awareness around climate change, social equality, and the long-term sustainability of business practices. As a result, many companies–both public and private–have begun to adopt ESG strategies.
As of 2020, nearly 90% of publicly traded companies, 79% of venture and private equity-backed companies, and 67% of privately-owned companies had Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) initiatives in place.
At Sapphire, we recognize our role as a venture firm in helping create a more sustainable, equitable, and diverse environment within our firm and across our portfolio.
